Today we go back to 1996 to remember the teenage witch movie 'The Craft', The Howard Stern Show premiers in another city, and a hit song from Sheryl Crow.

Opening at number one at the box office this weekend was the supernatural thriller 'The Craft' starring Neve Campbell and Robin Tunney. The film was about a group of High School teenage girls who practice witchcraft and conjure up spells and curses on all who anger them. The film was a success grossing over $55 million and is the eighth highest grossing movie involving witches since 1980.

The Howard Stern Radio Show premiered in Hartford, Connecticut on this day.

Sheryl Crow released 'Everyday is a Winding Road' and was the second single off her self-tilted album. The lead singer of Australians band Crowded House provided backup vocals and the song peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was nominated for a Grammy and was also covered by Prince.
