It's time for my second favorite Halloween themed movie to watch on this spooky holiday! Rob Zombie's 2003 low-budget horror exploitation film, House of 1000 Corpses.

House of 1000 Corpses takes place in the 1970s with four friends who set out across the country to find the best off road attractions. Once they meet a clown named Captain Spaulding at Museum of Monsters and Mayhem, their life is completely changed forever. He tells the story of a local legend named Dr. Satan and the friends are hooked and want to hear more.

The four friends go searching for Dr. Satan's grave site and end up being kidnapped by a family of sadistic backwoods psychopaths on Halloween night. The four try whatever they can to escape, but will they succeed?

Keep in mind, this is not a film for the faint of heart. It's gruesome, gory, scary, and sometimes hard to watch. This film also pays homage to horror movies that started it all like the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Overall I enjoyed the originality of this gory film and give it three and a half beards out of four!
