Idiots In The News 4-22-11

Friday editions of "Idiots in the News" rarely disappoint.  Here are a few highlights of today's idiots.

1.  An 8-year-old girl in Pensacola, Florida gave her teacher some marijuana she took from her mom.

The girl took some weed out of her pocket and gave it to her elementary school teacher, who later told school officials; and they called the cops.

The girl told school officials “this is some of my mom's weed, it's what my mother puts in blunts.”

The mother is now under investigation.

2.  A woman in Norwalk, Conn. jumped out the second floor window of her condominium when she smelled smoke from her neighbor's apartment.

The fire department responded to an alarm. When crews arrived they found a woman just below an open second story window. She was complaining of back and leg pain and was taken to the hospital.

Turns out, the smoke came from a burning pot on the neighbor's kitchen stove.

The woman apparently overreacted... slightly.

3.  A man in Bridgeport, Connecticut poured about $200 worth of gasoline onto a city street then went to a scrap metal yard and tried to sell the empty container, which was worth $60.

The 52-year-old dumped the fuel as he was driving to the scrap yard. The metal container was still dripping when he pulled in.

The scrap yard worker asked him if he had just dumped gas, and he told him yes.

That's when police showed up and gave him a ticket.
