A man in Batley, England who thought he was buying an iPad ended up with a dirty sack of potatoes instead. If we had a nickel for every time we’ve fallen for that old trick…

The Yorkshire Evening Post reported that an unidentified 31-year-old man gave the purported conman 200 pounds for the transaction.

The suspect handed him a black laptop bag for the cash obtained from a local automatic teller machine. The victim didn’t discover the true contents of the bag until the suspect fled the scene with his money.

It’s safe to say the victim will have an “eye” out for scammers in the future. Goodnight, folks! Try your waiters, tip your veal.
