The Minnesota Vikings Kicker has been struggling this season in the games where it has matter most. Could a freshman kicker at UMD be a better option at this point?

After Sunday's frustrating loss to the Lions, it looks like this may be the end of Walsh  in Minnesota. Several NFL insiders are reporting that the Minnesota Vikings are trying out kickers this week at their Winter Park practice facility.

Coach Chris Husby, a special teams coach, released a video of UMD true freshman Cameron Hausman making field goals look easy. Walsh is 12-16 for field goals and 13-16 for extra points, while Hausman is 5-9 for field goals and 27-31 for extra points. Okay, so the numbers are pretty close, but the Bulldogs are 9-1, while the Vikings are 5-3.

Maybe I'm comparing grapes to tomatoes, but Hausman hasn't missed where it mattered most, so far. I understand Hausman isn't an option, but check out his kicking video below and let me know how you would feel if the freshman replaced Walsh in the comments.
