Congratulations to Benilde- St. Margaret hockey player Jack Jablonski for winning the Courage in Sports Award for 2012! Jablonski was injured 10 months ago when he was hit from behind during a high school hockey game where he suffered a spinal cord injury.

The award is given to an athlete who shows courage in overcoming adversity to excel in sports. Even though Jack is not able to get back on the ice with his skates as of yet, he has proven all his doctors wrong with having regained mobility in his upper body and his arms.

He is truly an example of courage and hope, and continues to be for all of us who are following the journey of this incredible young man. For an update on Jack and his progress click on the video below.
