Jay-Z and Kanye West Boot Coldplay Off The iTunes Throne With New Record

Jay-Z and Kanye West released their new collaboration, 'Watch The Throne', exclusively through iTunes on August 8th and since then it's sold over 290,000 copies, making it the highest selling digital downloaded album in its first week of release ever, beating the record previously held by Coldplay.

'Watch The Throne' kicked Coldplay's 2008 album 'Viva La Vida' from the top spot, 'Viva La Vida" sold 282,000 copies in it's first week.

Jay-Z and Kanye West are also expected to be sitting on top of the Billboard Top 200 by the end of the week as it's expected to sell over 500,000 copies.
