Jessica Simpson Welcomes Baby Girl

The pregnancy we thought would never end finally ended!  Jessica Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson posted the welcome to baby girl Maxwell Drew Johnson on her official website.  She weighed in at a whopping 9lbs, 13 oz. and was 21 3/4" long.  Woah baby!  Congratulations to the happy new parents.

But am I the only one that is a wee bit thrown off by the name matched up with the sex?  A baby girl named Maxwell seems a bit odd if you ask me.  Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for androgynous names.  But some are just more unisex than others, right?  I'm sure the name Maxwell has meaning for Jessica and Eric.  Her middle name is from her maternal grandmother, Tina Simpson, whose maiden name is Drew.
