The rumors are true! After dropping hints for months (and even leaking a new track), the Jonas Brothers have confirmed that they will release a new record before the end of the year.

“In the next few weeks, we’re going to be going to New York, where we’re gonna meet up with Nick because he’s on Broadway right now, and we’re gonna start writing for another project,” Joe Jonas told MTV News. “It’s gonna be our best record yet.”

Big brother Kevin chimed in, “I think Maxwell said it best at the Grammys: ‘Thank you for letting me live life so I could tell you all about it.’ So we’ve been able to do that,” he said. “Joe and Nick have both been able to release amazing projects, and I’m so proud of them for that,” Kevin said. “We’re all doing different things and experiencing different parts of life, and getting together again — I think it’s going to be lots of fun.”

So when can we actually expect to hear it? Kevin was a bit evasive, offering only, “When it’s ready.” However, Joe was a bit more forthright. “We want to be able to do things this year,” he said. “We have plans that nobody really knows about yet, performances that are already lined up and we have music already recorded too … our [aim] is probably close to the end of the year or next year.”
