Justin Bieber has been accused of allegedly attempting to rob a woman of her cell phone, TMZ reports. Police are now investigating into the incident.

According to the site, the Biebs and his entourage were at Sherman Oaks Castle Park in California on Monday night (May 12), playing mini golf and using the batting cages when they allegedly got into an "altercation" with another group of guys. TMZ reports that the singer went over to a woman -- the alleged victim in the case -- after he saw her take out her phone to presumably take photos. According to the woman's account, Bieber demanded to see her phone, but when she refused to show it to him, he took it from her purse.

Then, the woman claims, she "began wrestling with Bieber" to get the phone back -- but since it was locked, he couldn't see (let alone delete) any pictures. He apparently then demanded that she unlock the phone, and the woman did so and showed him that no photos were taken. According to TMZ, the woman told Bieber that she and her 13-year-old daughter just wanted to say hi to him -- which is when he allegedly told the woman, "You're humiliating yourself in front of your daughter. Why don't you just get out of here?" and the woman's daughter began crying. According to the alleged victim's account, Bieber then went and yelled at someone else.

TMZ claims that the woman filed a complaint with the police and they went over to her home last night (May 13) to take a report to see if a crime had actually been committed.

According to KTLA, LAPD officer Rosario Herrera revealed that Bieber had not been arrested.
