While Katy Perry had a good time in her first public outing since her breakup with Russell Brand, she still made a swift exit. The ‘Teenage Dream’ singer split from the party she co-hosted when a fight broke out between two billionaires.

The New York Post reports that Perry got up and made a beeline for the back door when oil heir Brandon Davis and Dole fruit heir Justin Murdock got into a scuffle. Murdock stood too close to Davis, which led to shooing, then to shoving and bodyguard involvement — and our girl wasn’t having any of that! Spies told the paper that Perry “immediately got up when Brandon and Justin started arguing and pushing each other.”

That was a smart move. She’s probably dealing with enough drama right now! Of course, Katy Perry being Katy Perry, she exited with a sense of humor. “There were no punches thrown, it was just pushing and shoving,” a spy said. “Katy immediately walked away. She joked to her friend that she wasn’t ‘going out J.Lo-style.’” Zing! She was referring to the 1999 nightclub shooting involving Diddy and then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez.

Despite the scuffle, sources told the Post that Perry was in good spirits and that she kept a low profile while sitting with her bestie, co-host Markus Molinari. The party celebrated the opening of 1OAK Las Vegas and benefited GiveLove, an organization that provides sanitation and housing to victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

We’re happy to hear she left unscathed and smiling. Keep your chin up, Katy!
