Kesha has long been a vocal proponent of LGBT pride, urging Obama to legislate for federal marriage equality, celebrating when he did and even presiding over two friends' wedding back in 2012 (and never forget her backup dancers' amazing WBC protest). And this past weekend, the "True Colors" singer helped one lucky couple get engaged at Walt Disney World's Gay Days party during her One Magical Weekend performance.

"We had booked our tickets to go to the One Magical Weekend stuff, and then they announced that Kesha was performing," the newly-betrothed Joseph Negrilli recounted to Billboard. "I had been wanting to propose for a while, just was not sure how to do it, so I just decided to message her on Instagram and never thinking in a million years she'd ever get back to me, and then she did! She put me in touch with her manager, and tried to hammer out the details from there."

Joseph explained to Billboard that keeping Naveed out of the loop was a (successful) team effort, and family and friends helped keep it under wraps.

"Every once in a while I had to go meet with some of the producers at Disney who were putting on the show, and I had to disappear, so they had to make up some excuses of where I was," he said.

When it was time for the big moment, Joseph told Naveed they'd won a contest to meet Kesha, and they both walked onstage with blindfolds on — and Joseph got down on one knee when they took them off. You can watch it all go down in the video below.

Kesha shared photos of the happy event on Instagram, saying it was an amazing moment for all involved.

"Overcome and overwhelmed with emotion on stage last night," she wrote. "I'm honored that @jnegrelli57 & @m_abu24 shared such a monumental moment with me, and let me help orchestrate their surprise engagement💍❤️💍.

"Love is the magic in life, and really there is nothing more important. He said yes. ;) He actually said 'a million times, yes.' Then my heart melted and I cried. Haha. Congratulations."
