Knitters Wanted to Help Penguins Caught in Oil Spills
Everyone loves Penguins, how they waddle, mate for life and how the male protects the precious egg until they hatch. As with many animals in the wild, we need to help them from man made disasters, and knitters from all over the world are doing just that!
A organization called The Penguin Foundation in Melbourne Australia is asking for help with knitters making tiny vests for some of these gentle creatures who get caught in oil slicks. These special vests not only help keep them warm but stops them from licking the oil off themselves with their beaks while in rehab.
