Lutsen Mountain Gets Brand New Gondolas [VIDEO]

For skiers and snowboarders alike a new adventure awaits at Lutsen Mountain with a brand new Gondola system.

For anybody who has had to sit on a chairlift with the wind whipping at your face, being in an enclosed Gondola would be quit the treat. Since most runs in the Midwest are fairly short, compared to resorts in the mountains, chairlifts and T-Bars seem to work just fine, but for some runs at Lutsen a Gondola is necessary.

The staff  are excited with the new gondola which replaces a 50 year old one that was used at Lutsen for the past 25 years.  The new one is state of the art holding up to 10 people in comfort and warmth and is fast too. Plus they can always add more cars as traffic increases.
