Man Punches Minneapolis Police Horse

Last weekend during bar-close a 22-year-old man made a terrible mistake by punching a police horse.

The mounted police units were patrolling in Downtown Minneapolis just after 2 am when the man ran up to the horse and punched it.

The man was quickly arrested by officers and according to the StarTribune "booked into the Hennepin County jail on suspicion of fourth-degree assault."

Minneapolis Police said the horse, named Indigo, and its rider are fine after the incident.
