The rumors of a new Mariah Carey song, which first surfaced in early January, have finally come to fruition with a luxuriously long preview of "I Don't."

Carey first debuted the "I Don't" preview during the season finale of Mariah's World, her reality series on E!, aligning with a January 24 report that the pop star had recorded a song with rapper YG. The track, her first new song since 2015's "Infinity" from her #1 to Infinity compilation, is allegedly inspired by her breakup with ex-fiance James Packer. The preview snippet finds her in the studio.

"I Don't" is set for a February 3 worldwide premiere. And if your brain is already making connections between Mimi's enduring relationship with the words "I don't," rest assured you're not alone:

"I Don't" will arrive just over a month after Carey's disastrous lip sync fail at Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, which sparked a blame game between Carey's team and the producers at Dick Clark Productions (DCP). While backing tracks and lip syncing are far from uncommon at large and noisy events such as New Year's Eve or the Super Bowl, audiences prefer not to see the obvious evidence of the frequent practice, and thus Carey received backlash for the incident and her reaction.

Thankfully for Mariah's Lambs, the "We Belong Together" singer isn't retreating from the spotlight in 2017. Watch the Mariah Carey's "I Don't" preview above.
