Generally, in May, the trees start to turn green and so it's a good month to celebrate trees and the benefits they give to us.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources put together this infographic breaking down all the good things that trees do for us including, keeping the air clean, reducing noise, providing food and much more.

The trees in my Superior neighborhood were cut down last year and I didn't think I would mind that much, but now that they're gone, I miss having them there. I have the same reaction when I drive on 4th St. in Duluth, the area looks completely different now, for the worse, with those big, beautiful trees gone, kinda sad really.
