The web was abuzz today about the latest unconfirmed breakup for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.

Allegedly, they lost their passion for each other and he was disgusted by her personality change. But then Cyrus threw a curveball and a monkey wrench into the publicity machine by tweeting a photo of her in a wedding dress. WTF?

Let's work backwards.

In the photo, she looked gorge, all done up and with two-toned hair and matte, scarlet lips, swirled in all that cream-colored fabric. Was she throwing us off the scent? Or was she merely on a photo shoot that involved a big, white gown? Anything is possible.

Meanwhile, a Miley source (via Perez Hilton) said that they called it quits for good, over lack of passion and her immaturity. According to the source, the singer and actress struggled to keep Hemsworth in line. He devolved into more of a roommate than a fiancé, with the relationship lacking heat and passion.

But before we blame it all on Liam, the source also said that the actor was fed up with Miley's immaturity. Well, dude, you are engaged to a 20-year-old. Even though she's slightly older in "Hollywood years," due to growing up fast because of her career, Cyrus is said to have worked his nerves.

The insider said, "Liam always admired Miley’s independence, but this was more like a rebellion, and it freaked him out. She has undergone a complete personality change. She’s basically thugged out. He used to be obsessed with the way she would go wild. But it got more childish to him. He’s growing up — and fast. At first they were yin and yang, balancing each other out. But they got more and more out of sync."

Whoa, whoa, whoa -- thugged out? A buzz cut, some pot smoking exploits and a duet with Snoop Dogg do not a thug make, Miley source. Once she gets a full grill, wears bling on every single part of her body and gets knuckle and neck tatts, then, and only then, will we start to consider Miley thugged out.

We don't doubt that the relationship between Cyrus and Hemsworth is rocky and on shaky ground, but until we hear it from them, we'll consider things still "on."
