Hotel entrepreneur Jim Graves has been chosen to build a hotel at MSP and hopes to have it done in time for Super Bowl 2018.

According to an article from MPRnews the Metropolitan Airports Commission  panel chose Graves yesterday over three other bidders. Graves plans on building a luxury, 250 room boutique hotel with a distinct identity and will also have an indoor connection to the airport. The full airport commission has not approved the selection yet, but the full decision will be made by March 17th.

I think that is a fantastic idea, especially with hosting the Super Bowl in 2018. I'm all for the idea of being able to spend the night right after the plane lands, rather than traveling to a different site to stay at a hotel. Apparently there were talks in the past of MSP getting a hotel, but there was worry due to many airport hotels not being very profitable.

Comment below and let me know what you think of the new airport hotel.
