Minneapolis Ranks 4th in North America as Best City to Ride a Bicycle

Having lived in Minneapolis for many years and living a block away from Lake Calhoun I can attest to how awesome it is to hop on the bike and ride around the lakes. And now Minneapolis can toot it's own horn with ranking 4'th in the U.S. and Canada for Cities that are awesome to bike, according to Outside Magazine.

Not bad for a place that has to deal with tons of snow and is fairly cold 8 months out of the year. But, with the price of gas, and  throw in the cost of parking this seems to make a lot of sense. Bikes are not just for kids anymore it is a way to get to work or run errands.

When I was in college this was my sole mode of transportation, and looking back no wonder I was in such good shape despite my poor diet and consumption of adult beverages. :) For more information on this study click here
