Minnesota Marine is the 2,000th American Killed in Afghanistan

A US Marine from Andover, Minnesota was killed Wednesday in Helmand Province after his unit discovered an improvised explosive device while on patrol. He was the 2,000th American to die in Afghanistan, and the second from Minnesota this year.
Cpl. Taylor J. Baune, a 2009 graduate of Andover High School, was married to his high school sweetheart just three months ago.
The 21 year old Marine was stationed at Twentynine Palms in California was on his first deployment supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
