Minnesota Vikings Player Chris Kluwe Spends the Day in a Wheelchair, to Bring Awareness to Spinal Cord Injury Research [VIDEO]

Minnesota Vikings Player Chris Kluwe is known for speaking his mind and being an activist . He is not afraid to voice his opinion, and realizes that his celebrity status can help shine a light on things he is passionate about.

Lat year Chris spent the entire day in a wheelchair which was filmed for a documentary made by a Twin Cities man who's son was severely injured in a diving accident. A professional athlete who by all accounts is in top shape got to experience first hand the emotional and physical rigors of having to use a wheelchair for everyday life.

Before I got into radio I worked for many years on a spinal cord injury unit in Minneapolis, I saw first hand the amazing bravery and courage many of the patients showed me on a daily basis. For the complete video click here. A sample of the documentary can be seen below.
