Recently an employee at a Movie Theater in Chelsea New York was searching customers bags and purses with a flashlight, before they went in the theater.

One woman that was caught trying to bring snacks into the theater was forced to eat her food in the corner of the lobby before they would let her in.  This particular theater charges $17.75 for a ticket and $5.25 for a large soda and $4.25 for candy, so some people feel they are justified in sneaking in a snack or two.

Now most people understand that this is how theaters make money is the concession stand, but would you avoid that particular theater if you know you will be searched before you enter? Management for the company explained that they are searching for weapons not food. Have you ever snuck food into a movie theater, If so what was it? Let me know in the comments below.
