About this time of year I break out my collection of Christmas movies and enjoy watching them while doing holiday activities like decorating the tree or wrapping gifts. I do love all the Christmas movies I have, but there are three that rise to the top every year and I would consider these Christmas movies "must watch."

  • 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation'

'Christmas Vacation' is the movie I watch the most during the holiday season, I love Clark and the entire Griswold family. I laugh non-stop everytime I watch this movie and for some reason the jokes never get old. One of my favorite scenes is the one seen below, this speech is classic and I think we can all relate.

  • 'It's a Wonderful Life'

'It's a Wonderful Life' is the first "old movie" I ever watched and I've loved it ever since. This film isn't like 'Christmas Vacation,' in that I only watch it once or maybe twice during the holiday season, but that doesn't mean that I like any less. If you've never watched this movie, do yourself a favor and check it out. The scene below comes at the end of the movie after the main character, played by Jimmy Stewart, is just shown what the world would be like without him.

  • 'A Christmas Story'

I usually hold off watching this movie until either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, and more than likely I'll watch it multiple times over the 24 hour marathon that traditionally runs on cable every Christmas. 'A Christmas Story' has so many great moments and of course the most famous lamp in cinematic history.
