" Oh I wish I was an Oscar Meyer Weiner, That is what I truly like to be......O.K. you can take it from here. The Weinermobile is an American Classic and thankfully Oscar Meyer is keeping the tradition alive, with a few select people driving it all over the country each and every summer.

According to an MSN over 1,000 students had applied for the summer job to beat all, and that is to drive one of the fleet of weinermobiles across the country! The field is narrowed down to 12 lucky College students who get to travel the country in style.

I remember 10 years ago when the weinermobile came to Duluth and I felt like a little kid approaching the giant hot dog. I was lucky enough to be able to hop inside and even sit behind the drivers seat. No keys though....darn!

To this day I still have my weinermobile beanie baby sitting on my desk here at work. Not that I am obsessed with this amazing vehicle by any means I just think it is funny and, it reminds me of when I was a kid. Being someone who has kids myself, I am glad that the tradition has been kept going, and hopefully they will be back in the Twin Ports again this summer.

Check out the video below for a peek inside the weinermobile:
