It was a sad week for the Music world with the loss of 2 Disco Icons: Donna Summer and Robin Gibb from the Bee Gees. But as with life, when one leaves another takes it's place. Not to say anyone could ever replace Donna Summer, but new music will continue to be made everyday. A great variety of new albums are out this week.

1) Carly Rae Jepsen "Call Me Maybe Remixes" (four versions). Thanks to Justin Bieber this former YouTube star is on top of the charts with her latest single.

2) Kris Allen ("American Idol" season 8 winner)     "Thank You Camellia"  Glad to see that Kris is still plugging away in the music biz. He has done fairly well and has a pretty big fan base.

3) The Cult, "Choice of Weapon"-Great band when I need to get my rock fix. They were rock grunge before it was cool.

4.) John Mayer "Born and Raised" (guests: David Crosby, Graham Nash) Oh poor John, doing some retrospective about his wayward life the last few years, who seemed to realize he was being kind of a d-bag. Now seems like the nice guy he once was, ready to go back on tour and throat problems. Drag, well at lease his fans can enjoy his new album.

MUSIC on DVD:

Pink Floyd "Then and Now [DVD]" (two-disc documentary)

Sade "Sade: Bring Me Home — Live 2011 [DVD/CD]"

Simply Red "Live at Montreux 2003 [Blu-ray]"
