2011 The List: Dre, Gaga, Brit, B, Weezy
2011 promises some big albums from some of the hottest artists out there; let’s take a look at the year ahead in music, all these artists are planing album releases in 2011, I hope your iPod has some room on it.
Look for Brit to drop her 7th studio album sometime in March. Britney’s manager has said to expect the unexpected for this album.
Gaga is releasing Born This Way on May 23rd. According to Gaga, Born This Way will sound like "bad kids going to church." Expect a mix of the dance-pop that made her famous, with the addition of an epic, classic rock sound in the vein of Bruce Springsteen and Elton John....Ok? Sounds interesting!
No date or title yet, but we know that B is working on an album, her 4th, and the producer has said that the album “might have an 80’s vibe”
The band is back together and spent much of 2010 writing new music and touring with Paramore. No release date for this album yet, stay tuned. The band is tweeting all the time as they make the album, fun to follow if you're a fan.
He’s out of jail and got a new album dropping in 2011. Tha Carter IV will be Weezy's 9th studio album. It's not confirmed, but look for this album in February.
Blink 182 has been recording new tracks on and off since the group’s reunion in 2008. Travis Barker told MTV News that the album will be “heavy” and pick up where the band left off with the 2003 self-titled album.
The 45 year old Dr. Dre is getting ready to drop his 3rd and probably final album. The album, Detox, which was supposed to be released in 2004, is set for release sometime in February.
Look for guest appearances on the album from Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Akon, Jay-Z, La Roux and more!
