Among the more frivolous questions you might find yourself asking is "do I share my birthday with a lot of other people?" New research of American birthdays over three decades reveals that answer.

The research shows July, August, and September as the months with the greatest number of births, with September 16 being the most common birthday among Americans between the ages of 14 and 40. The least common birthday (pretty obviously) is February 29, being it doesn't happen every year. The second least common birth date is December 25, and New Year's Day (January 1) comes in third in the least common category.

This data shows that winter months are when most children in this study were conceived, with December 24 (Christmas Eve) statistically being the biggest night, coinciding with the most common birth date of September 16 mentioned above.
