According to the Duluth News Tribune developer Ted Stocke is building on about 3½ acres of land on the upper side of London Road. I have been watching this process unfold for quite a while since this is quite the project with clearing out all the trees just to get started.

Stocke's original plan was to build a single family home on the land but now is set to duplex style homes with up to 36 housing units. The homes will be set back about 80 feet from London Road between 36th and 40 Avenue East.

The homes will share a common access road running parallel to London Road. Stocke said that neighbors had voiced concern regarding the extra traffic but with restricted access and the natural flow of traffic Stocke is confident it will not make that significant of an impact.

As of now the pricing for a two-bedroom,1-bath townhomes is $269,900 each and a three-bedroom, two-bath townhome for $299,900. All the homes will have tuck-under garages. The three-bedroom townhomes will be three stories tall, with lake views available. Stocke expects to begin building the townhomes this summer and continue for the next four to five years or so.
