With the Super Bowl being in Minneapolis, plenty of big names are arriving. NFL Superstar JJ Watt is arriving and even gave a shoutout to Duluth in a tweet as he arrived.

379 miles separates JJ Watt's hometown of Pewaukee, Wisconsin from Duluth. But weekend hockey trips like that will happen. It's pretty crazy to think that the former NFL Defensive player of the year laced up the skates right here in the Twin Ports.

Watt, who grew up in Wisconsin, played hockey up until he was 13. He was quoted in an NHL.com article saying that, "Growing up in Wisconsin, a big hockey state, I started skating when I was 3 years old. I played all over,". He eventually hung up the skates to focus on football, which panned out ok for him.

As a Gopher football fan, I'm not too happy with his jab about the traveling trophy between his alma mater (University of Wisconsin) and the University of Minnesota. The Badgers have won Paul Bunyan's Axe over 10 years in a row. Hopefully that changes soon.
