We’ve never paid much attention to rugby, but looking at these photos of player Nick Youngquest makes us think maybe we should start.

What channel can I watch rugby on and how do I get there from my remote? I had no idea guys who play rugby can be so cute. I thought they all had lumpy foreheads from head-butting each other and bonking balls off their heads. We don’t feature a lot of sports stars around here and that’s my fault because I am so, so sports-dumb.

It’s a major blind spot, and I’m working to correct it because damn, how could I forget that athletes are so pretty? The things I do for you guys.

Anyway, Nick Youngquest, aka Youngy, is a 29-year-old Australian former rugby player for the Castleford Tigers. Insert roar because obviously. Back in 2006, Youngy posed nude for the 2007-2008 Naked Rugby League Calendar. It was for a good cause, and not just the good cause of our eyeballs, either.

The calendar’s profits helped raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, but his photo stirred up a bit of a controversy in the National Rugby League. Saucy! (By the way, you can see that shot plus a whole lot more of a maybe NSFW Youngy here.)
