Possible Phone Scam called “Proceed with Caution” Hits Duluth Area

According to the Duluth Police Department a possible phone scam based out of Florida has targeted some citizens in the area.

The Duluth Police Department received a number of complaints yesterday involving phone solicitation from a company based out of Florida asking for monetary donations for a charity called "Proceed with Caution." The area code from which these calls is coming from is (727) and they are saying that the money goes to families of officers involved in fatal traffic accidents.

The Duluth Police department do not condone this charity and are not sure If this is even a real organization. As with any solicitation you are encouraged to never give out any personal information to an organization that you are not familiar with.
