Brother Ali is a rapper from Minneapolis, who has a message in his rhymes, while telling like it is, and for that I have much respect.

Many people in the Twin Ports will be ecstatic to see Headliner Brother Ali perform Live and outside  for the #Slopeside Concert Series, making it more personal and a really cool experience.  You are going to need to bundle up, the event is February 20th at Mont Du Lac and the show will follow The Riders Cup Ice Cross World Championship.

Brother Ali was born in Madison Wisconsin and his family moved around the Midwest before settling into Minneapolis. He began rapping at the age of 8. Born with a rare type of Albino-ism, Brother Ali was teased a lot as a child and incorporates a lot of his feelings in his music about the need to stand up for yourself. His last c.d. was released in 2013 and the video below is one of my favorite songs off the album.

The video contains an actual protest involving a house that was foreclosed on. Ali along with many others was arrested for protesting.
