I admittedly have a brown thumb, and so here I sit facing the daunting task of splitting and replanting some Hosta plants at our house. Lucky for us the former owner had done some landscaping before we moved in 6 years ago, and one of the things we inherited were some beautiful Hosta plants.  But, unbeknownst to me, they get HUGE!

Hosta's are an annual and very low maintenance outdoor plant, but now I am at the point of no return to split them up and replant part of them in our back yard. I am nervous because they are an essential part of the front yard, and I don't want to kill them. So, I asked around and got many different answers.

When in doubt, look on the Internet right? I did and to save you some time check out the video below. This is Farmer Ted( a.k.a. Jeanne Ryan) checking out for now. I will be sure to do an updated blog with pictures on the plants progress.
