After nine weeks, Maroon 5's 'One More Night' has been toppled from the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Standing in its place? Rihanna's 'Diamonds,' the leadoff single from her new album 'Unapologetic.'

As Billboard notes, 'Diamonds' marks Rihanna's 12th No. 1 single, putting her in a three-way tie with Madonna and the Supremes for fourth place on the all-time list of artists with the most chart-topping hits. One more -- which she seems more than likely to achieve with one of the subsequent singles from 'Unapologetic' -- will put her in a tie with Michael Jackson; nine more will vault her past the Beatles for sole possession of first place.

A lofty goal, to be certain, but anything seems possible for Rihanna right now -- including a No. 1 debut for 'Unapologetic,' which retailers are projecting to sell between 240-260,000 units during its first week on the chart, outpacing a solid pack of new releases that includes the latest efforts from Kid Rock, Led Zeppelin, and Coldplay.

All of which means these are very exciting times for Rihanna, who's just finished a whirlwind tour while celebrating her latest hits. We can only guess at her favorite way of unwinding, but TMZ offers a cheeky hint with its report on her latest list of backstage demands, which include such perennial munchie favorites as Oreos, Cheetos, Gummi Bears, and Golden Grahams. Were Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg on board that 777 plane with her?
