UPDATE (4/26): Rita Ora has since publicly denied rumors purporting that she's the "Becky with the good hair" from Beyonce's "Sorry." Check out her response (via Twitter) below:

A word of warning to women everywhere: Avoid posting selfies with anything lemon-related on social media for the foreseeable future. In fact, stay away from the citrus at all costs. Don't drink lemonade, don't buy lemons at the supermarket...hell, stay away from limes, too! Trust us, it's for your own safety — as Rita Ora now knows all too well, if you so much as reference the yellow fruit, you may become a target of the Bey Hive's "Becky" witch hunt.

On April 23, the night of Beyonce's Lemonade premiere, Ora reportedly posted a Snapchat photo of herself wearing a lemon-embroidered bra — as well as what appeared to be a gold "J" shaped necklace, which was actually a lowercase "R" she's worn for years, reversed via mirror image. Now, some fans believe that the "Black Widow" singer, not designer Rachel Roy, may be the other woman referenced on "Sorry" in the line, "He better call Becky with the good hair."

The Snapchat picture began circulating on the tabloids, and now, the Bey Hive is on the offensive, with Beyonce fans infiltrating the comment section on a number of Ora's Instagram photos to post countless lemon and bee emojis.

The British pop artist does have a professional history with Jay Z. In 2008, she became his protege when she was signed to his label, Roc Nation. Soon after, speculation about the two cheating began to surface. When asked about the rumors in 2014, Ora told the hosts of Power 101.5's The Breakfast Show, "Don't you dare disrespect Beyonce like that ever again in your entire life! You should know better than that. That's just straight-up disrespect. You can't even go there. That's like, not even a question."

In December 2015, the singer sued Roc Nation for damaging her music career.

And while Ora's lemon-themed selfie may have been a bit curiously-timed, it's really not okay to bully women (like calling them "Rita Whora," as so many Instagram commenters have taken to), especially when the only person who knows the truth about "Becky" — including whether she's real or not — is Beyonce.
