Rita Ora was on a serious mission at the 2016 Met Gala to prove to the world she is not the elusive “Becky” that Beyonce sings about on her Lemonade track, "Sorry."

The British singer was among the A-list celebrities who attended the event and brought along her fans (via her Snapchat account). Ora donned a black patent leather jumper wearing a pin on her lapel that read “NOT BECKY” as she attended the Met Gala after-party on Monday night (May 3).

The 25-year-old singer even snapped a selfie (in her "Not Becky" outfit) with Beyonce and captioned it “Family” with a heart emoji. The dominatrix look was fashioned for the Man vs. Machine-themed gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Cleary, even on a night of glamorous designer fashions, the focus was more on the climate of celebrity relationships and controversy, i.e. Beyonce’s marriage to Jay Z, and the rumors of infidelity since the release of her controversial song, "Sorry."

Ora saw last night’s Met Gala as perfect opportunity to squash these “Becky with the good hair” rumors. The singer sported slicked back hair, neutral makeup and was all smiles with Beyonce who attended the event without her hubby, Jay Z.

Before her selfie with Beyonce, Ora had denied the "Becky" rumors. "I never usually address tabloid gossip but let me be clear, these rumours are false," she tweeted. "I have nothing but the utmost respect for Beyonce. Let's continue enjoying Lemonade."
