For many kids "Wednesday Night at The Races" is a Summer tradition held at various locations around the Twin Ports. Thanks to Grandma's Marathon and The Young Athletes Foundation the races continue even in the winter.

Kids age 14 and under are all invited to "Saturday Morning Races" which is completely Free of charge and open to the public. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and Races start at 10 a.m. ***Please note that outside shoes must be removed before entering the track area. No one, including parents, will be permitted entrance in street shoes. So dust off your running shoes and bring them with you whether you are running or watching.

This event is a great way for kids to burn off some of that extra energy and have fun too. Kids will race around an indoor track, receive a Free T-shirt and maybe even meet one of their favorite mascots.

  • January 26: University of Wisconsin Superior – Lydia Thering Fieldhouse. Marcovich Wellness Center. 1810 Catlin Ave., Superior.
  • February 9: University of Minnesota Duluth – Ward Wells Fieldhouse. 1228 University Dr., Duluth.
