Seat Belt Enforcement Will Be Ramped Up this Memorial Weekend
Click it or Ticket enforcement started May 18 and runs through the end of the month on Minnesota highways and roads .
According to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety 2015 has been a deadly month on the roads already, with 30 fatalities from people who chose not to wear their seat belts. As the long Memorial Day weekend nears more than 300 law enforcement officers will be on the lookout, trying to keep the roads safe.
Half of all motor vehicle deaths each year are attributed to not wearing seat belts and it's the law. So If you are on the road this weekend, please make sure everyone in your vehicle is buckled up and be safe!
