The Greater Downtown Council is at again with adding six pop-up stores including boutiques, a hockey themed store, and a live-action entertainment venue.

In 2013 the Greater Downtown Council came up this pop-up store idea to fill vacant storefronts and get aspiring shop owners an opportunity to try out the downtown market, hoping the business will want to stay. The spaces are rent free for two months or sometimes more, but the operators have to pay the utilities.

The storefronts include:

UMD Stores - This is the third year as a downtown pop-up store and will sell UMD imprinted apparel and gift items. The store will be located at 207 W. Superior St. and will also be back at it's spot last year where Explorations Toy Store used to be.

Integral Hockey Twin Ports - Sand Jokela (former  hockey player at St. Scholastica) is running this store that will be selling hockey apparel, and repaired composite hockey sticks. SolveEnt - This will be Duluth's first Escape Room Adventure Game where people work together to solve hidden puzzles to escape the room and win the game. The game will be called 'Silent Night' with a holiday theme twist and located at 408 W. Superior St., where Occasions was.

Ryan Tischer Photography - Tischer is a landscape photographer who has sold his work at art shows, festivals, online and now will have a gallery featuring many of his favorite pieces and some never-before-seen images. The gallery will be at 5 W. Superior St., formerly Great Lakes Gifts & Gallery.

Pichardo Boutique -  This store will offer a mix of trendy, vintage and contemporary clothes and accessories for women ages 19-45. This shop will also be located at the Holiday Center skywalk, 207 W. Superior St.
