The last in a series of skating events held at the Essentia Duluth Heritage Center in West Duluth will be happening this Wednesday February 13, put on by The Duluth Parks and Recreation Department along with the heritage center and local businesses. The event is called "Skate For The Heart" and is from 6:30-8:00pm.

Meghan Walker from the Essentia Duluth Heritage Center sat down with WDIO and said  "We're just trying to stay in that holiday spirit after the winter holidays and try to get kids out here for Valentine's Day. Also the Boys and Girls Club of the Northland will be doing a jump rope challenge to teach kids about heart health. Plus,there will be Valentine's Day crafts and science experiments put on by the Duluth Children's Museum. Members of the heart and vascular team at Essentia will also be there to teach people about your heart. This event is FREE and open to the public.
