Some Superior Businesses Targeted in Phone Scam

Some Local Businesses in Superior Wi. received a phone call yesterday from an Individual saying they were from Superior Water, Light and Power Company regarding missed payments which has been uncovered as a Scam!

According to a press release from The Superior-Douglas County Chamber the caller stated that this particular business' had missed some payments and that they needed to make payments over the phone with a credit card or money order, in order to insure that they would not lose service.

The phone number is listed as a Utah number (801) 850-6807, anyone who receives one of these calls is asked to call 911 immediately and report it to the Superior Police Department. Any customer who receives one of these calls is asked to call Superior Water, Light and Power Company directly at (715) 394-2200.
