Your wildest late '90s dreams may finally be coming true, Spice Girls fans: According to The Mirror, the iconic girl group is recording new music just in time for their 20th anniversary. The downside to this otherwise exciting revelation? While Victoria Beckham a.k.a. Posh Spice has already confirmed that she's not interested in being involved, it looks like Melanie "Sporty Spice" Chisholm may have opted out of the reunion as well.

The British tabloid reports that three of the original five Spices — Geri Halliwell a.k.a Ginger Spice, Melanie Brown a.k.a. Scary Spice, and Emma Bunton a.k.a. Baby Spice — have reunited in the studio to work on new material. The women were spotted entering London's Play Deep Studios earlier in the week by paparazzi, and their presence was corroborated by musician/songwriter Astronomyy, who tweeted that he had shared a glass of wine with the ladies while "in the studio" with them on Twitter:

The same day, superstar producer Eliot Kennedy, who worked on the Girls' albums Spice and Forever, spiced up fans' lives even more with a cryptic tweet referencing twenty years, a "proper friendship," and a "hit song" — clues all pointing to the possibility/probability that the group had been working on a smash in the studio, likely with their former collaborator:

Still not convinced? On Instagram, Mel B herself confirmed that the three had indeed met up with one another, sharing a handful of "Holler"-inducing selfies with her fellow Spices:

And while the prospect of new music from one of our favorite pop acts never seems like it could be "Too Much" for our hearts to handle, without Victoria and Mel C in the mix something feels a little off.

Considering July 20 will mark two decades since the group released their infectious debut single, "Wannabe," fans can only hope the anniversary will be celebrated the way it deserves to be... with amazing new tunes, a massive tour, and a proper reunion including Posh and Scary Spice. Oh please, say you'll be there, ladies?
