Mongolian student Sia Ganbaatar is finishing her senior year of high school at St. Paul Prep and took home the Minnesota State Chess Championship.

According to an article from CBS Minnesota Sia will compete at the U.S. Open Chess Championship the first week of August in Arizona. Sia even has a chance to win  a scholarship if she takes home the championship there.

Growing up I loved playing chess. I'm not nearly good enough to play in the big leagues, but I think it would be fun to do a MIX 108 chess tourney and see who's the best chess player here at the station.

Check out the video below and let me know what you think of Sia's big win.
