Has there ever been as much hype for one movie trailer as there is right now for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer? (Except maybe the last Star Wars trailer? And, maybe the Star Wars trailer before that?) Fan anticipation has been at a fever pitch for the last few days, but the waiting is finally over. Enough hype, it’s time for you to actually sit down, take a deep breath and watch the official, final Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer in all its glory.

First things first: who is that little salvager in the opening of the trailer? The same character appears to be featured on the official poster near R2-D2 and C-3PO, and while we assumed it’s Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong’o’s mo-cap character), we’re no longer entirely sure — especially since the voice asking “Who are you?” seems to belong to Nyong’o. Further examination leads us to believe that’s Daisy Ridley as Rey in her scavenger gear.

There’s a lot more to the new trailer, including some excellent screen time with Adam Driver’s villainous Kylo Ren. We heard him speak for the first time via an action figure, but he sounds so much better and more menacing here. There’s also a brief, intense moment where he appears to be using some sort of force (not the Force) on Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron.

In addition to the above, we get new moments with Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Finn, who says he was trained to do “one thing,” but can’t find a reason to do it, perhaps hinting that he truly is a Stormtrooper and not merely pretending to be one. There’s also an interesting new droid: a tall, red, gangly-looking thing seen from behind at the 1:38 mark as Han, Finn and BB-8 prepare to enter a colorful building.

And while we only catch a brief glimpse at Leia, there’s plenty of Rey-centric action happening throughout the trailer. Daisy Ridley may be a newcomer, but I have a feeling she’s going to become an instant favorite character and hero to little kids everywhere.

With the Force Awakens trailer and poster now upon us, the Disney marketing campaign is in full swing. A new Star Wars movie is less than two months away and while it may seem like we’ve already reached peak Star Wars, there’s still so much more left. There are toys that are considered spoilers that won’t even be released until January. And, this is the point where I’d normally drop in a film’s official plot synopsis, but Star Wars: The Force Awakens doesn’t have an official plot synopsis. A little strange, considering how close we are to the film’s release date, but also not strange at all considering this is a J.J. Abrams movie.

If this isn’t enough for you, we’ve embedded both of the previous Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailers below. Oh, how far we’ve come.

If all else fails, is it too early to start counting down the days until Star Wars: Rogue One hits theaters?

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in theaters on December 18.
