Summer Beach Bash and Sand Modeling Contest Scheduled on Park Point

Get your pails and imaginations ready!  The Parks and Recreation Department along with the Duluth YMCA has announced their Sand Modeling Contest will be held Thursday, July 19 at Park Point Beach starting at 11:00am.

The Duluth YMCA has other fun activities such as a water balloon toss, hula hoop contest and face painting for youth and families from 11:00am-4:00pm at the Park Point Beach House.

Sand modeling teams are invited to create their own works of art in the sand from 11:00-1:30. Bring your shovels, pails, creativity and build a work of art. A panel of judges will review all the sand sculptures with prizes given in several categories.

A water safety expo will also be held from 2:00-5:00 pm.
