The way you get groceries in the Twin Ports is about to change with Cub Foods announcing that they will start grocery delivery this month and now Walmart will start offering free grocery pickup.

Starting April 20th both the Superior and Hermantown Walmart locations will offer free grocery pickup with online ordering.

Walmart will offer the free store pickup with orders over $30. Cub Foods will charge $5.99 for orders over $35.

According to a fact sheet released by Walmart, the prices are always the same with their online ordering as shopping in stores and orders placed by 2 a.m. will be available for pickup from 8 a.m. and orders placed by 10 a.m. will be available from 1 p.m.

Special parking spots will be available for online ordering and pickup, once parked customers will call a special phone number and the groceries will be brought out to your vehicle.

Grocery orders and pickup times can be placed as far as three weeks out.

Cub Foods and Walmart won't be the only retailers making grocery shopping more convenient, Target is expected to launch a same-day deleviery service this year as well.
