"Everybody wants one!"
In celebration (maybe?) of this week's long-in-the-making 'Dumb and Dumber,' star Jim Carrey decided to really spice up his appearance last night on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.' More precisely, he really wanted to Lloyd it up, doling out hideous Lloyd Christmas-styled bowl cuts to the good people of Hollywood Blvd. How could this possibly go wrong?
Starting off in Hollywood is rarely a glamorous endeavor -- rather, it's one the requires hard work, patience, and a handful of really bad side gigs meant to supplement a budding star's cash flow until they hit the big time. Melissa McCarthy might be one of our biggest stars, but McCarthy definitely paid her dues before rocketing to the star stratosphere.
When Kendall Jenner took the stage at this weekend's Billboard Music Awards, things seemed promising. The younger sister of the Kardashian siblings was tasked with introducing the band 5 Seconds of Summer (admittedly, kind of a hard name to say). While she was able to get a lot of facts down about the band (they are a band! they are on the Billboard charts!), she totally fell down on actually saying their name, which is kind of an essential part of introducing someone. Oops!
You know what? Jimmy Kimmel has some weird ideas for fun celebrity games and manipulating social media. Okay, Jimmy Fallon? You don't have the corner on this market! In a wickedly clever combination of embarrassing celeb game and social media wackiness, Kimmel rolled out his "Tweeter Totter" on last night's show, alongside his guest, 'Modern Family' star Julie Bowen.
"I knew that!"
The idea behind this Katy Perry-centric skit on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' sure sounds cute -- our host brought together both the pop star and one of her biggest fans for a round of "Who Knows Katy?," a chirpy game show about Perry trivia -- but the execution of it was mildly terrifying.
It is almost impossible to take Jimmy Kimmel seriously, he is one funny guy, and by the constant chuckles from Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, he was excited to have him on hi show.
Can you imagine as a kid, your parents sitting you down and telling you that they ate all of your Halloween candy? I think I would have been grounded for a while considering what would have come out of my mouth.
