Spring in the Northland usually brings out people on bikes in droves, but after this year it may be an even bigger number.

Two local teens from Denfeld High School set out on a bike ride to Maine and back from Duluth, to promote youth fitness on their tandem bike. But an unobservant driver changed the plan just a little bit.

We are a hearty crew here in the Northland, with up to 8 inches of snow predicted this past weekend many of us just laughed it off. All part of the deal living in Northern Minnesota, but for many it is a hassle to get around.

For any of you who have tried to teach a child how to ride a bike, it can sometimes be a painstaking process. I was lucky in that it entailed about 1 hour and only a few drops in the grass.  I think this kid has a real future in politics...
