I was watching cartoons with my kids the other day, when the show "Adventure Time" on the Cartoon Network came on. Am I the only one that doesn't get this show? And after an episode of "The Amazing Adventures of Gumball" I realized that I just don't understand cartoons (aimed at kids) anymore. I long for the cartoons of the mid-1980's and early 1990's--my cartoon watching prime.

I was born in 1980, so I had the privilege of being a true 80's (when neon colors were cool-the first time around) child.

At my house, dinnertime around the table is a great example of when the kids have our undivided attention and me and my husband start bringing up our childhoods.
